Getting Started

AJAIA (ADO Jira AI Assistant) is an AI-powered productivity tool that helps development teams work smarter with Azure DevOps and Jira. It uses Claude AI to automatically break down epics into user stories, features, and tasks, syncs work items between platforms, and provides intelligent insights to accelerate your workflow.

AJAIA is not sold separately. There is no public signup. Accounts are provisioned for clients as part of an engagement with Jefrie, with one onboarding walkthrough included. Work with Jefrie to start.

Access follows your engagement. A Build Sprint includes access for the duration of the build plus 90 days after handoff. An Orchestration Retainer includes full access for as long as the retainer is active, with seats and onboarding included.

Access winds down over a 30-day sunset. A data export is available during offboarding. The platform is supported during active engagements and provided as-is otherwise.

Features & Usage

AJAIA uses Claude AI to analyze your epic description and automatically generate a complete work breakdown structure. It creates user stories, features, tasks, and even test cases with Gherkin scenarios. You can review, edit, and customize the generated items before pushing them to Azure DevOps or Jira.

Yes! AJAIA is designed to work with both platforms. You can connect to Azure DevOps, Jira, or both simultaneously. This is especially useful for teams that need to sync work items between the two platforms or are migrating from one to the other.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration allows you to connect AJAIA directly to AI coding assistants like Claude Desktop, VS Code with Copilot, and Cursor. This enables your AI assistant to access your work items, create tasks, and update project status directly from your IDE without context switching.

The Azure DevOps Extension brings AJAIA's epic breakdown directly into your Azure DevOps interface. From any work item you can generate a breakdown without leaving Azure DevOps. It is provided to active clients as part of an engagement.

Account & Access

Seat count is stated per engagement in the proposal, not on the website. To adjust seats, raise it with Jefrie during your engagement.

Access is licensed for the engagement duration, not transferred. Full ongoing access comes with an active Orchestration Retainer.

Yes, during active engagements. Outside an active engagement the platform is provided as-is.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you've entered the correct organization URL and Personal Access Token (PAT). Your PAT needs the following scopes: Work Items (Read & Write), Project (Read). Check that your PAT hasn't expired. See our Azure DevOps integration guide for detailed setup instructions.

Complex epics with detailed descriptions may take 30-60 seconds to process. If the breakdown is taking longer than 2 minutes, try refreshing the page and starting again. Large epics may need to be broken down in stages for best results.

Try these steps: 1) Make sure you have the latest version installed from our download page. 2) On Windows, right-click and "Run as Administrator" for the first launch. 3) Check that your firewall isn't blocking the app. 4) Try reinstalling the application.
